Help the Homeless Fund

“Home is a notion that only nations of the homeless fully appreciate and only the uprooted comprehend.” – Wallace Stegner

Over half a million people go homeless on any given night in the United States.

Approximately 65 percent take refuge in homeless shelters. Though many shelters are underfunded and in constant need of supplies.

The other 35 percent — just under 200,000 — are found unsheltered on our streets. Exposure-related conditions are a constant reality faced by homeless individuals who spend most days and nights outside.

Hypothermia and trench foot remain leading causes of injury and death among those experiencing homelessness, as well as associated maladies including frostbite, sunburn, and heat exhaustion.

Our Help the Homeless Fund aims to provide durable support to homeless individuals and resources to homeless shelters lacking sufficient supplies.

Your Impact:

  • Provide clothing to unsheltered homeless citizens in order to protect from exposure-related conditions

  • Supply homeless shelters with necessary goods to maintain ongoing operations

  • Fund early intervention programs to reduce the frequency and duration of homelessness in at-risk communities
